MAGNET SCHOOLS provide a wonderful opportunity to offer students a unique educational opportunity. It is the responsibility of the School District to offer that opportunity in a fair and open system. Most administrators would prefer to focus their attention on developing programs rather than the day to day of record keeping. SEATS was designed to specifically manage the student information during the MAGNET school recruitment, enrollment and lottery processes. This powerful tool replaces the tedium and errors associated with running the student lottery by hand.

SEATS operates like a powerful desktop application, but works on any modern web browser. The interface is intuitive and modern. The average training for support staff to enter and edit data is less than one hour.

SEATS has been designed with a powerful control system (ACL). This system limits access and function available to individual staff members on an “as needed” basis. Under most deployments, only the lead administrator has the ability to configure or execute the lottery. Staff members cannot assign students manually or change their school choice or grade level on an ad hoc basis.

Customer Support

One on One customer support is provided during the initial training and installation. The initial contract provides for one year of unlimited customer support via telephone and Live Chat. Ongoing support and training is available with a contract extension.

The main SEATS screen provides a list of student applications. These can be edited and verified against the mainframe student records. The main screen has versatile filters and sorting tools to quickly find students.

Advanced Reporting Tools

The SEATS application contains powerful and flexible reporting tools that allow necessary information to be extracted and summarized. Student data can be grouped by schools, grade levels, application status and many other parameters. Because the report parameters be saved and reused, the report always contains the most current information.

Report Distribution

The SEATS reports can be distributed to the district staff via the secure login system. Each site administrator can see only those SEATS reports they have been assigned. The SEATS reports are continually updated so the reports always contain the most accurate information.

Data Security

SEATS has a audit trail, showing the entire process of each student’s application, lottery assignment and acceptance. Each time information is updated, the SEATS user and actions are recorded.
